Mary Nurczyk

NURCZYK, Mary V., 98, of Steubenville, died Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Lancia Villa Royale.

She was born April 24, 1914, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Louis Zygmuntowski and Bernice Wroblewski Zygmuntowski Glinski, Mary is also preceded in death by her husband; Bernard J. Nurczyk, one son, William Nurczyk, step father, Alex Glinski, three sisters, Bernice Mieczkowski, Helen Ferguson Gruszecki and Alice Gilnski Visnic and one granddaughter, Melissa Nurczyk.

Mary was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Polish Women’s alliance.

Surviving are two sons, Edju “Ed” Nurczyk of Steubenville and John Nurczyk of Toronto; one daughter, Frances (Edgar) Lucas of Richmond, OH; daughter-in-law, Vicki Nurczyk of Steubenville, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Fr. Tim Huffman, celebrant. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Jefferson County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 1212 Jefferson St. or to Charity Hospice.
