HOBSON, Madlyn M. (Baumberger), 84, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away Friday March 8, 2013. at her home.
Madlyn was born in Rayland, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell and Laura Nichols Baumberger.
She was a buyer at the former Hub of Steubenville and also was a secretary at Trinity Medical Center West. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto and was an active volunteer at the Tony Teramana Cancer Center.
In addition to her parents, Madlyn was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Woody” Hobson; her sister, Mildred Roe; and her brother, Russell “Bud” Baumberger.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Patrick) McFarland of Calf., and Cecile (Jim) Harris of Mt. Pleasant; three granddaughters, Terri, Erin and Emily; and six great-grandchildren, Ian, Drew, Sophie, James, Sela and Colt. Also survived by two sisters, Pauline (Walter) Morehead of Mt. Pleasant and Dorothy Watson of Marysville, Ohio.
A memorial service in remembrance of Madlyn will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday April 13, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, 6th and Main St., in Toronto, Ohio. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate her service.
