CAMAROTA, Thelma Ruth, 93, of Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away March 21, 2013, at the Mainland Campus of the Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center – Pamona, NJ.
She was born December 26, 1919 in Jefferson County, OH, the daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes Umensetter Hendricks.
Thelma was retired as a seamstress for a tent and awning company and served her country during WW II in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC’s).
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Camarota; sisters, Helen Twaddle and Doris Vermillion; brother, Warren (Bud) Hendricks.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Sarah Camarota of Egg Harbor, NJ and Charlene Welsh of Somers Point, NJ; two grandsons and two granddaughters; four great-grand sons and two great-grand daughters; sisters, Grace (Paul) Johnston of Pineville, LA and Edith Murray of Toronto, OH
A celebration service of Thelma’s life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto with Pastor Carol Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the East Springfield Cemetery, East Springfield, OH.
Friends and family are invited to visit at the funeral home from noon to the time of the service at 1p.m. Wednesday.
