TURNER, Charles “Chuck” E., 84, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away June 3, 2013, at Acuity Hospital, Steubenville.

He was born May 5, 1929 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Charles and Annabelle (Gregory) Turner.

Chuck served his country in the United States Army.

He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked on the railroad.

He was a member of the Steubenville Moose and Wintersville American Legion Post 557.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley (Linn) Turner of Wintersville; sons, Keith (Debbie) Turner of Toronto, Ohio and Charles “Dick” (Mary) Turner of Columbus, Ohio; stepchildren, Cynthia (David) Hollingsworth of New Orleans, Curtis (Faye) Chambers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roger (Nancy) Chambers of Wintersville, and Charles Chambers of Anchorage, Alaska; sister, Shirley Turner; mother-in-law, Olive Linn of Wintersville; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Joni.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
