Annette R. (Niemeic) Petrozzi

PETROZZI, Annette R. (Niemeic), 79, of Worthington, Ohio, died peacefully, Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Kobacker House with her daughter and nephew at her side.

Annette was born at home, June 13, 1934, in Amsterdam, Ohio, to Walter and Anna (Laskowski) Niemiec.

She was devoted to her faith, her family and her profession as a registered nurse. Annette began serving as a church organist in the fifth grade and continued this stewardship for over 50 years when her vision became impaired. She has been a faithful, weekly adorer since the inception of the Adoration Program at St. Michael’s, where she has been an active member for over 40 years.

Annette was a graduate of the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Steubenville and retired from St. Anthony Hospital, Columbus.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna; brothers, Bart and Walter Niemiec; daughter, Lisa Campbell, grandson, Jacob Campbell, and her rock, Tony.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Petrozzi; grandson, Josh and son-in- law, Chuck Campbell; brothers, John Niemiec (Karen) of Amsterdam Ohio, Tom Niemiec (Pat) of Green River Wyoming; sister, Janice Johnson (Howard) of Ocala, Florida; and numerous loving members of her extended family from both sides and many dear friends.

Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Novak Funeral Home, 4476 N. High Street, Columbus (two blocks north of Henderson Rd.) 614- 268-8811.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:45 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 5750 N. High St., Worthington. Father Matthew Morris celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annette’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at or through your local JDRF office.
