Ray ‘Danny’ Jamison
JAMISON, Ray “Danny,” 75, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.
He was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Burnsville, WV, the son of the late Ray “Buck” Jamison and Gladys Louise Tyo Jamison.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roderick Craig Jamison.
He was Methodist by faith. He retired from Weirton Steel in 1992 with 35 years of service in the machine shop. He was also employed with Hancock County Schools at the John D. Rockefeller Center as an adult vocational education instructor and substitute since 1976. Life member of Oakland VFD, Institutional instructor for Boy Scout Troop 32, former member of Weirton Radio Watch.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Darlene Scheetz Jamison; sons, David Jamison (Cindy) of Kansas City, MO, Doug Jamison (Belinda) of Acworth, GA, Deric Jamison (Karen) of Wheeling, WV; grandchildren, Justin, Kayla, Karla, Kate; sister, Nancy DiLullo (Matteo); sister-in-law, JoAnn Zuza Jamison of Weirton, WV.
Visitation will be Friday October 4, 2013 4-8 p.m. at the Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where services will be held Saturday at noon with Reverend Kevin L. Bowers presiding.
Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
