BENGAR, Wilda Mahrea (Rogers), 86, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, in her home.
Wilda was born on June 16, 1927, in Toronto, daughter of the late Jon R. M. and Julia Elizabeth Lee Rogers.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto, and was formerly employed by the former Kaul Clay Co. and Franciscan University where she worked in the cafeteria.
In addition to her parents, Wilda was preceded in death her husband, Vincent Bengar, whom were married July 10, 1948, he passed in 2005; two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Rogers; and her sister, Vivian Skeeles.
Wilda leaves behind her six children, daughters, Jeannine “Suzi” (Robert) Price of Toronto, Barbara (Dave) Hvizdzak of Weirton, Mona (John) Hannan of Toronto, son, Vincent Mark Bengar (fiancee Eva Sanchez) of Encino, CA, daughter, Renee (Chris) Buskey of Maple Valley, WA, and son, Robert (Susan) Bengar of North East, PA. Also surviving are her 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog and companion, Piper.
Visitation for Wilda will be held on Thursday, October 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St., Toronto, OH.
Family and friends will meet Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate the Mass and burial will follow in Ft. Steuben Cemetery in Wintersville. Vigil services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3:45 p.m.
