Dominic J. ‘Dom’ Cutri

CUTRI, Dominic J. “Dom,” 86, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, at home.

He was born December 10, 1926, in Mingo Junction, OH, a son of the late Joseph and Vencenzia (Antinoro) Cutri.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Robert Cutri; and three sisters, Carmella “Carm” Cutri, Josephine Jackson and Ann Cutri.

Dominic retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1989 after working for 40 years as an electrician. Dom was Catholic by faith and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Pine Valley Sportsman Association in Adena and loved hunting, fishing and pitching horseshoes. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, LaDonna (Joiner) Cutri, whom he married January 27, 1951; five children, Don (Pam) Cutri of Mingo Junction, Joe (Beth) Cutri of Mingo Junction, Rusty (Barbara) Cutri of Boise, ID, Dorinda (David) Moffett of Mingo Junction, and David (Mary Ann) Cutri of Boise, ID; two brothers, Russell (Linda) Cutri and Rocco (Frances) Cutri, both of Mingo Junction; a sister, Marie Miller of Steubenville, OH; eight grandchildren, Dawn Marie Cutri, Melissa (Stevan) Wilson, Joseph (Lori) Cutri, Dominic (Tina) Cutri, Leighanna Cutri, Maygan Moffett, Joshua Cutri and Brianna Cutri; and eight great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Marley, Braylon, Alley, Skylar, Emigin, Austin and Kayden.

Friends will be received on Tuesday at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with prayer services at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. by Kathy Anderson.
