Joseph D. Cogar

COGAR, Joseph Duane, 38, of Weirton passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home.

Born March 24, 1975, in Weirton, he was a son of Becky Smearman Cogar of Weirton and the late Leeman Roy Cogar.

For the last eight years, Joseph has been employed by Sal Chemical in Weirton and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his mother, Joseph is survived by his brother, David Leroy Cogar; his wife, “Boo,” of South Carolina; sister, Laura Gay Boyer, and her husband, Richard, of Tremont, PA; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dogs, Kia and Sebastian.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4 until the 7 p.m. funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV, with Pastor Donald H. Lytle officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of his family.
