HANLIN, Anna Elaine “Laney,” 66, of Wintersville, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born February 21, 1947, in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late John and Margaret Savage Williams.
Laney is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Don and Ed Williams; two sisters, Betty Keenman and Jane Woodrum.
Surviving are her husband, John “Milkman” Hanlin whom she married September 5, 1964; two daughters, Michele (John) Gentile of Steubenville and Janice (James) Staten of Rayland; one brother, Jerry (JoAnn) Williams Sr. of Wintersville; one sister, JoAnn “Cookie” Moody of Toronto; three grandchildren, Chayse and Noah Staten and Casey Gentile.
Laney attended First Westminster Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Steel Valley Antique Car Club and her grandchildren where her biggest fans.
Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, where services will be held Monday at noon with Rev. Jason Elliot officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
