MANUEL, Lindsay Elizabeth, 21, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born February 18, 1993, in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Schlotter Manuel of Wintersville.
From age 13 she faced a devastating diagnosis with courage and determination. Through every challenge she never lost her sense of humor, rarely ever complained, and always had a smile on her face.
Lindsay was a 2011 graduate of Indian Creek High School and attended Eastern Gateway Community College until October of 2013. Her goal was to work at a Children’s Hospital as a Child Life Specialist sharing her passion for art.
In addition to her parents she is survived by two sisters, Stephanie (Matthew) Patterson of Cleveland and Lori Manuel of Bellaire; maternal grandmother, Agnes Coyle of Follansbee.
Friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 300 S. Fourth St., Steubenville, and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., Fr. Nicholas Halkios will officiate. Entombment will follow at Union Cemetery. Trisagion service will be at 7:30 p.m.
