Robert Ketchum

KETCHUM, Robert Lewis, Sr., 75, of Hammondsville, OH, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014. at the UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born April 24, 1938. in Toronto, OH. the son of the late Harold E. Ketchum, Sr. and Blanche Edith (Shaw) Ketchum.

Robert was a member of the Hammondsville United Methodist Church; member of Jenkins Lodge 471 F.&A.M. Masonic Lodge; member and Vice-Commander of the Hammondsville American Legion Post 742; associate member and past vice-president and president of the Stanton Ruritan Club; was a graduate of the Irondale High School; served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robert loved yard sales and going to the Rogers Flea Market.

He is retired as a senior purchasing agent from the TRW-PCC Airfoils Company of Minerva, OH.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, Jr., Raymond and Donald Ketchum; sister, Evelyn McQuestion.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Ann (Grimm) Ketchum whom he married May 16, 1960; sons, David R. (Angel) Ketchum of Toronto, OH, and Robert L. (Robin) Ketchum, Jr. of Salineville, OH; daughters, Heather (Dan) Diamond of Irondale, OH, and Tracey (Joe) Riter of Dillonvale, OH; sister, Betty Corbisello of Sedona, AZ; brother, Wayne C. Ketchum of Port Ritchie, FL; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many friends.

Visitation hours for Robert will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. Masonic Services for Robert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A celebration service of Robert’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Crowe officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Full military honors will be provided prior to the service Monday.
