REYNARD, Verna J., 70, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born June 16, 1943, in New Alexandria, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Edward Roe; her mother, Emma L. (Clark) Roe Holliday; her stepfather, Everett W. Holliday; her husband, Charles R. Reynard; two brothers, Edward and Kenneth Roe; a sister, Nancy Roe; and a half-sister, LaVerne Risdon.
Verna graduated from Smithfield High School in 1962 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Brilliant American Legion Auxiliary and the 8 and 40 of the Auxiliary, and she was a member of the Dames of Malta. Verna enjoyed playing bingo and Bunco and working puzzles. She also enjoyed collecting lighthouses.
Surviving are four sons, Lawrence (Lynda) Reynard of Omaha, Nebraska, Michael Reynard of Waterloo, Iowa, Scott (Charlotte) Reynard of Omaha, Nebraska and William (Stephenie) Reynard of Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi; a brother, Rodney (Charla) Roe of Brilliant; eight grandchildren, Erika, Ruben, Scott, Stormy, Sky, Jenna, Charles and Austin; three great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, Don (Lu) Roe of New Alexandria, Ohio, Joe (Mary) Roe of Bloomingdale, Ohio and Gary Roe of Hopedale, Ohio; and two half-sisters, Sharlene (Bob) Wade of New Alexandria and Sandy Roe of Brilliant.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, where her funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Marc R. Tinstman, Minister, officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Hopedale, Ohio.
There will be a service by the Brilliant Legion Auxiliary Monday at 7 p.m.
