Florence F. Fazi Orsini

ORSINI, Florence F. Fazi, 93, of Weirton passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in the Weirton Geriatric Center.

Born on April 26, 1921, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Maria Vendetti Panacci. She was also preceded in death by her first husband John J. Fazi in 1965; her second husband, Lawrence Orsini, in 1978; four brothers, Henry, Frank, and Emilio Paravano, and James Panacci; three sisters, Jennie Castelucci, Elvira Paravano, Alma Ravasio; and son-in-law Gerald Pearson.

Mrs. Orsini retired after 15 years from the maintenance department of Weirton Steel Corporation, a division of the former National Steel. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Catholic Daughter’s of America, St. Paul Christian Mothers and enjoyed crocheting and baking cookies.

She is survived by a son, John J. Fazi (Linda) of Follansbee, WV; a daughter, Christine M. Pearson of Weirton, WV; and step-daughter, Joyce Bray (Robert) of Follansbee, WV; a brother, Joseph Panacci (Frances) of California; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut St., Weirton. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
