Robert Bonner

BONNER, Robert Russell 76, of Paden City, departed this life Monday, April 7, 2014, at his home. He was born March 1, 1938, at Joseph’s Mills, a son of the late Maynard Russell and Mary Lucille Bonner.

Bob was a retired employee of Union Carbide, Sistersville, with 35 years of service. He loved the outdoors, the beach and especially fishing. He was a member of Riggs Memorial Chapel United Methodist Church, Joseph’s Mills.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Markle Bonner; a brother, Donald Wayne Bonner; two sisters, Barbara Riggs and Sharon Lawson; a great-grandson, Bradyn Hess; a son-in-law, Rich Kissner.

Bob is survived by his second wife, Ida Mae Nolan Bonner; three sons, James Bonner, Camanche, IA, Michael Bonner, Paden City and Richard ( Diann ) Wright, Paden City; three daughters, Jeanine ( John ) Wiles, Tunnelton, WV, Patricia ( Jeff ) Stewart, Sistersville and Carol Kissner, Paden City; two brothers, Stephen Morgan (Marlene) Bonner, Middlebourne and David Bruce (Florence) Bonner, Pennsboro; a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Kenneth) Drain, Pennsboro; a brother-in-law, Larry Riggs, Middlebourne. eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at Furbee Funeral Home, Route 18, Tyler where services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday With Pastor Louise Baker officiating.

Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery, Joseph’s Mills.
