William R. Woltjen

WOLTJEN, William R. “Bill,” 87, of Steubenville, OH, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Valley Hospice North.

He was born in Wintersville, OH, on June 13, 1926, the son of the late William and Mary Woltjen.

Bill graduated from Wintersville High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a skilled carpenter and built homes in the Wintersville and Toronto, OH, areas. He later worked as a bricklayer and truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Garnett I. Morris Woltjen.

Bill is survived by his sister, Faye (Terrence) Dargan of Palatine, IL.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.

Entombment at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
