Madelyn J. Campbell

Madelyn J. (Brinskey) Campbell, 75, of Mingo Junction, OH, died Saturday May 3, 2014, at Trinity East Valley Hospice unit.

She was preceded in death by the late John and Vada (Johnston) Brinskey, also preceded in death by two half sisters, Alice Daniels and Wanda Carmony. Madelyn was known in Mingo as the “Pie Lady.” She liked contemporary music, was a baker, a gardener, a mother, and a grandmother. As a member of the Mingo United Methodist Church, she helped raise a lot of money with her pies.

She is survived by her husband Myers Campbell; daughter Kelley (Tracy) Bays of Kentucky; two sons, Zane Campbell of Weirton, and Craig (Valeria) Campbell of Bloomingdale; three sisters, Jacqueline Parks of Mingo, Mary Ann Bates of North Canton, Marcia Wright of Mingo; one brother, John James (Janet) Brinskey of Wintersville; many nieces, nephews; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Schuetz Funeral Home “The Affordable Choice,” 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, from 1-8 p.m. Monday, where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Steven Browning officating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction.
