JACKSON, Jane R., of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Valley Hospice, North Care Center, Steubenville, OH.
She was born Jan. 31, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Mariah (Willson) Young.
She was Methodist by faith.
Jane was a long time member of the Eagles, American Legion and V.F.W. clubs in Toronto and loved to spend her time there dancing with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jackson, who passed away in 1981; three brothers, John, William and Robert Young; sister, Mariah Kalb; her step-son, Bill Jackson who passed away in 2005; and an infant granddaughter, Angela Feather Haynes. She was also preceded in death by her long time companion, Jack Burkey.
She leaves behind her only child, Donna J. Haynes and her significant other, Rick Kunkel of Toronto, OH; son-in-law, Jerry (Theresa) Haynes of Richmond, OH; three granddaughters, Tiffanny (Brian) Gilmore of Wodstock, GA, Shannon (Bill) Lucas of Toronto, OH and Mallory (Jared) Churchman of Steubenville, OH; step-grandson, Garry Jackson of New Cumberland, WV; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews Visitation hours for Jane will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto.
A celebration service of Jane’s life will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating.
