Vincent DiBias

DiBias, Vincent L. “Chook”, 68, of Steubenville, OH, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at Valley Hospice Care Center North.

He was born Oct. 16, 1945, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Vincent B. and Rose Elizabeth Petrini DiBias.

Vincent was a good woodworker and carpenter. He was an avid golfer and played at all the local courses. He retired from Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel, where he worked as a craneman. Chook was a 1963 graduate of Warwood High School and went on to study at West Liberty State College

He served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Socha DiBias, whom he married on September 27, 1969; daughter, Victoria “Torrie” DiBias of Steubenville, OH; son, Brian (Michelle McMhon ) DiBias of Florida; sister, Cheryl (Craig) Peyton of Wheeling, WV; three grandchildren: Lila, Sophia and Alexander DiBias, all of Florida; mother-in-law, Lucy Ferlise Socha of Wheeling, WV; niece Natalie Naegele of Wheeling, WV; and nephew, Nicholas Naegele of Wheeling, WV.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jason Elliott officiating.
