Arthur J. Deleonardis 85, of Steubenville, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Trinity West.
He was born January 16, 1930, in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Justine and Mary Daverio Deleonardis.
Preceding Arthur in death are one son, Justin, one brother, Robert and one infant sister.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen “Tootsie” Ferrise Deleonardis, whom he married August 23, 1955, two sons, Arthur of Steubenville and John of Wintersville; one daughter, Diane (Thomas) Kotur of Wintersville; one brother, William of Steubenville.
Arthur leaves behind his footprints in the sand of three grandchildren, Thomas Michael, Christopher John and Steven James Kotur.
Arthur was the former owner and partner with his brothers of the Spot Bar and was retired from the City of Steubenville waste water treatment plant, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country in the Korean War. He was also a member of the Knights of St. Anthony, Theta Chi Alpha, American Legion Post 33, Belleview Men’s Golf Club and coached the St. Anthony Hawks for 25 years.
Calling hours are Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m.
