David Hugh Thompson, 64, died unexpectedly Friday, July 4, 2014, at his former wife’s home.
He had traveled to the Crescent City area with his daughter, Vicky, the day before his death to visit his family and celebrate the Fourth of July when he suffered a heart attack.
He lived in Sneads Ferry, NC, coming from Colliers, WV. He worked as a mill worker for Colliers Steel for 15 years. David loved his family, shooting pool and mowing grass.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Saundra Barnhart of Crescent City, FL; a son, David Charles Thompson of Flagler Estates, FL; daughters, Tammy Jo Thompson Graves (Michael) of Dana Point, CA, and Vicky Rae Thompson of Sneads Ferry, NC; brothers, James, Frederick and Carl Thompson, all of WV; and four grandchildren: Stacey Clark, Gage Johnson, John Clark and Elaina Thompson.
Arrangements are under the careful care of Clayton Frank & Biggs Funeral home, Crescent City, FL.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. with services beginning at 5 p.m.
