Elaine Eckleberry, passed away Thursday July 17, 2014, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. Born September 15, 1930, in Goshen, IN, Elaine was a daughter of the late Louis Long and Ira (Red) Vera Moore.
She was a bank teller for 12 years at the Hancock County Savings Bank. A member of the Newell Methodist Church, 500 Club and The Newell Women’s Club.
Elaine was a loving, devoted and inspiring mother and grandmother. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren; she will long be remembered for her insightfulness, wisdom, grace and kindness.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Eckleberry.
She is survived by her sons, Randall (Royce), Mark (Gaylene) and Dan (Tammy) Eckleberry all of Chester; daughters, Denise Lamp and Tami (Paul) Koper both of Newell; brothers, David (Nancy) Moore of Cincinnati and Ted (Susan) Long of CA.; sister, Yvonne (Bill) Triplett of New Manchester; and she will be greatly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday 2-8 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Dave Willey officiating.
Interment will be in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
