Eugenia Dobrin

Eugenia “Jennie” Dobrin, 90, formerly of Weirton, WV, who resided at Country Club Manor, Steubenville, OH, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

She was born June 22, 1924, in Bridgeport, OH, the daughter of the late Nicholae’ and Elizabeth Taflan Carje.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles G. Dobrin (5-16-98); granddaughter, Michelle Dobrin; great-granddaughter, Marlee Figgs.

Jennie was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Christian Mothers.

Surviving are her daughters, Elizabeth Gentile (John) of Steubenville, OH, Marion Dobrin Figgs (Bill Eastham) of Follansbee, WV; sons, Mark T. Dobrin (Ronda) of Greenville, SC, Martin M. Dobrin (Mona) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Bryan Figgs (Richelle), John C. Gentile (Michele), Jimmy Gentile (Sandy), Chuck Dobrin (Traci), Samantha Hermosillo (Primo), Dr. Aaron Dobrin; great- grandchildren, Rylan Figgs, Brydon Figgs, Chase Dobrin, McKenzie Dobrin, Casey Gentile and Shay Hermosillo.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2014, 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 15, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV, with Reverend Manuel Gelido as celebrant. Entombment at St. Paul Cemetery.
