George A. Bogard, Jr., 65 years old of Cecil, PA, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, in UPMC-St. Margaret.
He was born January 20, 1949, in Canton, OH, son of the late George A. Bogard Sr. and the late Edna Virginia Riley.
He attended the United Presbyterian Church in Carnegie, and was a social member of the Cecil American Legion. He graduated from South Fayette High School and attended business school in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed traveling, coin collecting, and playing Santa Claus.
He worked as a bookkeeper for Folino Construction Co.
Surviving are sister, Carol (Dennis) Monaghan of Cecil; brother, Norman (Elise) Bogard of Wintersville, OH; twin half sisters, Sharron (David) Crane of Wintersville, OH, and Karen (Ryan) Kennan of Mingo Junction, OH; three stepsisters, Robin (Ron) Moran of Mingo Junction, OH, Kathy (Patrick) Dugan of Wintersville , OH, and Patricia (Larry) O’Malley of Piperton, TN; and a stepbrother, David (Richelle) Riley of Cedar Rapids, IA; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; two uncles, David M. Stacy of Steubenville, OH; and Norman K. “Pooch” (Harriet) Stacy of Mingo Junction , OH.
He was also preceded in death by niece, Jennifer Decarlo, Sept. 25, 2013.
Friends will be received 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 21 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt. 50) Cecil, PA, where services will be held at 8 p.m. with Chaplain Cathy Peternel officiating.
Interment will be private in the Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH.
