Michael Mancano, 77, of Follansbee, WV, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Visitation on Thursday, noon until time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home Follansbee.
Michael Mancano, 77, of Follansbee, WV, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Valley Hospice Care North in Steubenville, OH.
He was born on February 4, 1937, in Follansbee, WV, a son of the late Rocco and Mary (Vitale) Mancano.
Michael graduated from Follansbee High School in 1955 and he was a veteran of the Army. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television and entertaining the children in the family.
He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Claris (Sapp) Mancano at home; two daughters, Cathy (Jeff) Gilman, Reading, CA and Pam Mancano, Seattle, WA; one stepdaughter, Lynna (James) Taubman, Queensland, Australia; one brother, Rocky Mancano, Steubenville, OH; one Sister, Isabelle “Izzy” (Edgar) Dunlevy, Follansbee, WV; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
A private family memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV.
