Frank Pergi

PERGI, Frank A., III, 58, of Stuart, FL, died on Aug. 9 in Trident Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina.

Frank worked for U.S. Steel in the Lorain, Ohio pipe mill, then in the casino industry at the Showboat in Atlantic City and at Binion’s in Las Vegas. His quick wit, mathematical ability and his gift for gab made him a favorite.

He spent the last nine years caring for his aging parents. He knew and loved all the people and dogs in the neighborhood. He loved playing classic rock on the guitar. He was a voracious reader and could be found in the library most days.

Frank leaves his daughter, Lisa Pergi of Las Vegas, NV; parents, Frank A Pergi Jr, and Mary Jane Pergi of Stuart, FL; sisters, Chris (Kenneth) Palmer of Stuart, FL and Lisa (John) Buttari of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; and a brother, Tom (Debbie) Nuss of Springfield, OH. He was the beloved uncle of Brennan Humes of Steubenville, OH and John Buttari and Aliza Buttari of Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Services will be in Stuart, Florida at the Willoughby Country Club on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 1 p.m.

He will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
