Harold Alexander

Harold Victor Alexander Jr., “Mr. A.,” 71, of Cadiz, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.

He was born April 15, 1943, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Harold Victor Alexander Sr. and the late Edith May King Alexander.

Mr. Alexander worked at Roger’s Western Auto in Cadiz for 16 years and was a retired teacher at the Jefferson County JVS after 23 years of service.

He was the founder and owner-operator of eohio.net, the first internet service provider in Eastern Ohio, was a member of VOCA, and loved anything to do with electronics.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Knight Alexander; children, Tammy (David) Miller of New Philadelphia, Vic (Lisa) Alexander of Ormond Beach, FL, Deborah Sue Mills of St. Clairsville, Anita (Mike) Manbeck of Cadiz, and Tom (Betty) Poland of Cadiz; 11 grandchildren,; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sally Huff of Scio and Dorothy Huff of Sullivan, IL.

Friends may call Sunday, 1-4 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Monday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Jack Visser officiating.

Burial will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery near Scio.
