Homer Davidson

DAVIDSON, Homer Earl, 85, of Burgettstown, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, in his home.

He was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Eldersville, a son of the late William Earl and Ida Mae Davidson.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Davidson was employed by Lafarge Standard Slag in Weirton, WV.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran during WW II.

Mr. Davidson enjoyed cutting grass, traveling, Nascar racing, and listening to old time country music.

On Feb. 25, 1956, he married Minnie DiGeorge, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Bradley E. (Marsha) Davidson of Eldersville, and Lori (Bradly) Abbott of Eldersville, his three grandchildren, Amber Ray, Hannah and Hayden Abbott, his two great-grandchildren, Emma and Antonio Ray.

Deceased are a brother who died in infancy and two sisters, Val Jean Jackson and Idell Cassella.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, in the Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Amedisys Hospice, 275 Meadowland Blvd., Washington, PA 15301
