Mildred Fidak

FIDAK, Mildred M. “Millie,” 80, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Millie was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Mingo Junction, OH, daughter of the late John and Mary Beresick Riapos.

She was formerly employed by Humes Trucking Company and Schrickel Chiropractic and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Steubenville.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Riapos, and two infant sisters.

Millie leaves behind her husband, Theodore R. Fidak, her daughter Sheila and her husband Ray Mayhew, Jr. of Westerville, OH, her daughter Michelle and her husband David Matzenbach also of Westerville; three grandchildren, Christopher Robert Matzenbach, Ashley Marie Matzenbach and Jacob John Mayhew.

Private Catholic services were held for Millie on Monday at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH with Fr. John McCoy presiding. She was buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.
