Patsy V. Felmet, 83, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born in New Holland, Ohio, on August 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Harold I. and Geneva V. Adams Speakman.
Patsy was a stay-at-home mother and housewife for many years, taking a job at Carlisle’s at the Fort Steuben Mall in later years. She was a former past president of the Steubenville Jr. Women’s Club and secretary of the Jefferson County Mental Health Association, which started the first mental health clinic in Jefferson County. She was an active member of the Steubenville Players for several years.
She is survived by her husband John W. Felmet, who cherished and adored her for nearly 64 years and mother of four children, Bryan (Kim) Felmet of Steubenville, Lynne (Frank) Talleda of Miami, FL, David (Rose) Felmet of Dayton, Ohio, and Grant Felmet of Cleveland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister Evelyn (Russell) Jacobs of New Holland.
Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 4 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating.
