Robert (Bunny Woo) Simmons, 63, of Steubenville, Ohio, died August 2, 2014, in Steubenville.
He was born November 15, 1950, in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Ulysses and Neily Judd Simmons.
Robert was a graduate of Steubenville High School and worked in the railroad department of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna L. Simmons.
He is survived by four sons: William Hawkins of Columbus, Ohio, Cassius Hawkins of Columbus, Robert Simmons Jr. of Steubenville and Ronin Simmons of Steubenville; five daughters: Bobbie Johnson of Louisiana, Nicole Hawkins of Columbus, Jeanette Hawkins of Columbus, Brittany Simmons of Steubenville and Dyeisha Dudley of Pittsburgh; five brothers: Willie (Doris) Harris of Steubenville, Ulysses (Jennifer) Simmons of Columbus, Hamilton (Darla) Simmons of Steubenville, Jeffrey Simmons of Steubenville and Michael (Crystal) Simmons of Steubenville; one sister, Lillian Diane (Arthur) Benjamin of Steubenville; his faithful companion, Kelly Robinson of Steubenville; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to Vinson House of Mortuary.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at the Vinson House of Mortuary, 711 N. Fifth St., Steubenville. A celebration of Robert’s life will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Maurice Lawson officiating.
