Harry Charles Andrews, Sr., age 86, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at his home.

He was born January 16, 1931, in Toronto, OH.

Harry was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Toronto; member of the Sunrise Senior Citizens and the Jefferson County Democratic Party. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was retired from the Quaker State Oil Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. and Wilda E. (Vance) Andrews; wife, Betty Jo (McTheny) Andrews, in 2013, whom he married April 2, 1952 and a sister, Beverly Youmans, in 2012.

Harry is survived by his sons, H. Charles (Mary Jo) Andrews of Toronto, OH, Randall L. (Margit) Andrews of Endicott, NY, and J. Vance Andrews of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Theresa Jo, Nicholas Charles, and Josef Lee Andrews; sisters, Charlene Beatty of Steubenville, OH, Peggy McCartney of Toronto, OH, and Nina Kavanaugh of Toronto, OH.

Visitation hours for Harry will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at the First United Methodist Church, corner of Main and Sixth Streets, Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Harry’s life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68, Toronto, OH
