Theodore Zrinyi

Theodore Andrew Zrinyi passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, in April 1926 to Ethel and Michael Miklos Zrinyi from Hungary. Ted was a World War II veteran who worked 35 years for Wheeling Steel.

He was married for 50 years to Mary Ashmead who passed away in 1999, and he moved to South Daytona in 2002.

Ted was a devoted family man who was a familiar figure as he walked his dog Sparky every day.

Ted was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Kovach (John); brothers, Michael Zrinyi (Maggie), Alex Zrinyi (Mary) and Victor Zrinyi Sr. (who is survived by his wife, Jean).

Ted is survived by brother George Zrinyi (Teresa) and children Nancy Long (Jack), Kathleen Getsinger (Andy), Ted Zrinyi Jr. (Stephanie), and Lorraine Ramsey (Randy), as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wintersville at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017.
