Alexander Qualtire

Alexander M. Qualtire, 62, of Wintersville died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Trinity West ER. He was born January 2, 1955 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Louis and Rose Marie Andriano Qualtire.

Alexander was retired from the First Energy Sammis Plant where he was a heavy machinery operator. He was also a graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1974.

Alexander served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a very giving man with a big heart devoted to God Almighty. He had much respect and praise for Sheriff Fred Abdalla and his Staff, the Steubenville and Wintersville Police Departments, Ambulance Service EMT squads, Coach Reno and Ohio Lottery.

Surviving are four sisters Sara (Rob) Malcolm of Wintersville, Claudia Qualtire of California, Julie (Mike) Krupinski of Cadiz and Maria (Tim) Hamilton of Steubenville; nephews Robert Louis Malcolm and Michael Lee Malcolm; nieces Emily Rose Doyle and Grace V. Hamilton.

The family would like to thank the Administration and Staff at the Laurels as well as Mayle Homes for their wonderful care of Alexander. The Laurels was his home the past 4 years and the staff his extended family. You gave him purpose, he gave you prayers. He will always be your ambassador. God Bless you beautiful ladies and Godly men!

Calling hours will be today from 3-5 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home, Pastor Brian Starcher will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
