Betty Lou Kemp Darrah, 90, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away October 19, 2017, at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Beech Bottom, WV.
She was born February 23, 1927, in Bethany, WV, to the late James and Pearl Myers Kemp.
She was the former owner of the Paddle Wheel was a Christian by faith, a member of the Wellsburg Women of the Moose, Wellsburg VFW Women’s Aux., and the American Legion Women’s Aux.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Duane “Red” Darrah, three brothers Ray, Tom and Bill Kemp, and a granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons, Edwin Waltz and his wife, Dottie of Weston, WV, Ralph Waltz and his wife, Dee of McCleney, FL, Paul Waltz of Wintersville, OH; a brother, Wayne Kemp and his wife, Darlene of Follansbee, WV; four sisters Marjorie Jones of Wellsburg, WV Helen Moren of Bethany, WV, Karen Bracey of Follansbee, WV, and Karol Puskarich and her husband, Cameron of Wellsburg, WV; Several nieces, nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Monday, October 23, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV, Women of the Moose service will be at 7 p.m.
Service will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joy Leasure officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery, Bethany, WV. Online condolences can be made at reasnerofwellsburg.com.
