Linda “Charlene” Price, 66, of Weirton, WV, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017, surrounded by her family praying for her, as she took God’s hand into eternal life.
Born October 24, 1950, in Clarksburg, WV, she was a daughter of Robert and Genevieve “Linda” Plocharczyk Clevenger of Colliers, WV.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Harland and Libby Price; brothers-in- law, Mike Johnston, Joe Ennis and Bill Walker.
Charlene retired from Weir High School as a math teacher, with her favorite subject being geometry. She will always be remembered as a mentor to her students
She attended the Weirton Salvation Army Church.
Charlene liked to go “antiquing,” working in her flower gardens and was very talented at crafts. Most of all, her favorite things were spending time with her family, especially at the family farm in Doddridge County, helping her grandson, Devin, with his homework and watching her favorite TV shows with her husband.
In addition to her parents, Charlene is survived by the love of her life, Bryon Price, whom she married on April 26, 1974; daughters Amber Hagg (Michael) and Theresa Price, both of Weirton; sisters Roberta Cox (William) of Wellsburg, WV, Brenda Clevenger of Dallas, TX, Shelly Johnston of Weirton and Kelly Clevenger of Colliers; and grandchild Devin Price. Additionally survived by nieces, P.J. Kadlic (Scott), Carrie Elliot (Ken), Maria Thomas and many great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, where additional visitation will be held Thursday, 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service. Captain Ed Long will officiate.
