Tura Hollister

Tura Hollister, 77, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2018, surrounded by those who loved her at Life Line Hospital, Wintersville, OH.

She was born June 30, 1940, in Hundred, WV. The daughter of the late Harold and Virginia Smith Critchfield.

She is survived by her cherished husband of 54 years, John Hollister, Jr.; three loving children, Lorie (Bill) Martin, John (Tina) Hollister, and Scotty Hollister; her adored grandson, Zachary; her two caring sisters, Twila (Pete) Casella and Lora Lee Herron; and numerous extended family and treasured friends.

Tura was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ. She lived her life with the utmost dedication to her God and her faith. She nourished those around her with her love. She was the consummate caregiver to her family, to her friends, to those in need.

Her lifelong love and dedication to her son, Scotty, was unconditional love in its purest form. Her happiest earthly moments were spent in casual days with her family, especially in the presence of her only grandchild, Zachary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her absence will leave a void impossible to fill.

Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral celebrating her life at 11 a.m. at the Weirton Heights Church of Christ, 3169 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, WV, where Evangelist Steve Smithbauer will preside.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
