Clyde Kimmel (Tim) Humberson, age 88, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday May 16, 2018, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Humberson was born on January 29, 1930, in Weirton, West Virginia, the son of the late Clyde Jefferson Humberson and Millicent Mae Forshe Humberson.
He was a veteran of twenty-two years in the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired with the rank of senior master sergeant.
He also retired from the Postal Service.
Upon retirement, he and his wife became volunteers, first with Senior Friends and then with the Brandon Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers.
He was an avid crafter and spent much of his free time making clocks, pens and various other unique items for his family and friends.
He attended Douglas First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joyce Laws Humberson and his siter, Dolores Rankin.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Vaughn of Douglas, GA, and Kim Thompson and husband, Michael of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; son, Jeff Humberson and life partner Renee of Franklin, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas (Kevin), Meagan Bryner (Sean), Ethan (Nikki) Vaughn and Holly Vaughn; three great-grandchildren, Sophie, Julia and Tucker; brother, Terry Humberson of Weirton, West Virginia.
