Chamber event benefits community

This Saturday will see the return of one of the Weirton area’s premier social events and fundraisers with the annual Wine and Dine at Williams, hosted by the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle.

The evening, to be held at Williams Golf and Country Club, will include wine tastings, food, entertainment, a “man cave,” horse-drawn carriage rides and much more, making it an enjoyable event for all who attend. It’s not all just about getting out for a night of fun, though.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser will benefit the chamber’s community and education programs, which include Leadership Weirton and Youth Leadership Weirton, the High School Business Symposium and the yearly community Christmas light displays, which the chamber has been working to upgrade and expand in recent years.

Sponsors include the Fairfield Inn and Suites; Wine and Beverage Merchants; HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital; PS Marketing; WesBanco Banking, Insurance and Trust; Paper and Press Ink; Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau; and Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort.

Tickets must be purchased in advance, and can be obtained by calling the chamber.

The Wine and Dine has established itself as a major event for the area, with many attending each year. We are sure this year will be no different.

We thank the chamber, the BDC and all of the sponsors for once again putting this evening together.

We encourage the community to attend this wonderful event, and show their support for these great programs.
