Tired of the waiting game

To the editor:

I don’t know how many times I have gone to see a doctor, but every time it takes 30 minutes up to two hours before a doctor sees me. But the only thing is if I have an appointment at 1:30 p.m., there are two or three other patients with the same appointment.

Every time a doctor sees a patient, it’s $150, even for a couple of minutes. Then, while you are waiting, the doctor is not even around, he is somewhere else. To show a little courtesy to his patients, he should call his office and tell them when he will be there. Patients have better things to do than sitting around two hours waiting and getting depressed.

The chairs in the waiting rooms of some doctors are uncomfortable to sit it. If a patient can be on time, then why can’t the doctor? If a patient doesn’t show up for his or her appointment they still are going to be billed for it, but the doctor can be late.
