We’ve lost our way

To the Editor,

First off, would you consider the Super Bowl family fare? I do. Would you consider the half time show family fare? I don’t.

If the NFL puts on a half time show next year like this one, there will be a lot of frozen tushes!

It would be nice if every four years we could vote on whether display of the Ten Commandents on public property is a problem for you or not. I would bet a significant sum of cash it would be no problem for the majority of voters.

I’m still waiting for some liberal to advise me of what did Obama do that gave you reason to re-elect him. Wait till 2014 when Obamacare goes into effect. Maybe, just maybe, all who voted for Obama will have second thoughts of why they re-elected him. My question is; How many more people will be hired by the government to make sure that every one has health insurance?

People, we have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the “lottery.” We have rewarded laziness and called it “welfare.” We have killed our unborn and called it “choice.” We have neglected discipline our children and called it “building self esteem.” We have abused power and called it “politics.” We have coveted our neighbors’ possesions and called it “ambition.”

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it “freedom of expression.” We have ridiculed the time honored values of our forefathers and called it “enlightment.” We need to get God back into our lives people.

In closing, I give this little story: A little girl wrote a letter to God asking why He let those children in Newtown get killed in school. God replied, “My child, I’m not allowed in schools!”

We are a decaying nation. How sad.
