AIM continues mission in area
To the editor:
AIM Women’s Center wishes to thank Tri-State Area residents for a successful fundraising banquet March 12. More than 560 friends gathered at the Serbian-American Cultural Center to support women and children in the Ohio Valley, so that AIM can continue to provide free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, options counseling and a Bridges Program, which enables women to earn as they learn. Without our generous benefactors, we would not have the privilege of serving Ohio Valley women.
Gianna Jessen, who survived a saline abortion, discussed overcoming adversity, the deep love of Christ and forgiveness. Thanks to Bishop Jeffery Monforton for the invocation; the Rev. Clint Quillen of Wintersville United Methodist Church for the benediction; Sharon Maedke, AIM director; and Ginna Dombrowski, nurse manager, for their updates.
Generous underwriters assured that banquet costs were paid in advance so that banquet gifts and pledges could be used for the daily needs of AIM. That included our title sponsor, Christian Fellowship Foundation; an anonymous donor; Dr. John Balzano and family; Christopher Wright; Wendt Touring; St. Agnes Catholic Church and Women’s Club; a memorial in memory of Helen Zanetich; Trinity E.C.H.O. Fund; McBane Insurance and Financial Services Inc.; Franciscan University of Steubenville; Jeff and Kathy Rankin; Sherrin and Associates and Dr. Jeffrey Starre. Please support these businesses, establishments and individuals.
Table sponsors included Deacon Richard and Rosemary Adams; Catholics United for the Faith; Community of God’s Love; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hawrot; Holy Family Catholic Church; Shannon and Stephen Hughes; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Irvin; Dr. Mark Kissinger; Mosti Funeral Home; Trinity Health System; Scott and Kimberly Hahn; Tom and Sharon Meadke; Dr. and Mrs. Eric Balzano; the Diocese of Steubenville; Triple Play Cafe; Robert Mendoza, in loving memory of Debbie Mendoza; Franciscan friars, TOR; the Rev. Clint and Ann Quillan; Mr. and Mrs. James Livingston; Nelson Fine Arts and Gifts; Grange Insurance Co.; Colonial Baptist Church; DiGregory’s Greenhouse, Lou and Kathy DeGregory; and Tracy and Amy McManamon.
