Comedy show a success

To the editor:

On behalf of our board of Directors, volunteer health care providers, staff and patients, we would like to thank all of those dedicated supporters for the tremendous success of our Heywood Banks Comedy Show/Dinner fundraiser that was held Feb. 17. The Jefferson County Fourth Street Health Center is a nonprofit health care facility that relies on the generosity of our donors and dedication of our health care providers, staff and volunteers. Our mission is to provide quality health care to the medically uninsured and underserved in Jefferson County.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors for their committed and motivated support of our mission to offer basic medical care with dignity and respect to our patients. Heywood Banks sponsors included Hess Corp., Trinity Health System and WesBanco. The sponsors for the evening included Appalachian Capital Management; Best Western Plus; Dr. Thomas Brown, DDS; Charity Hospice; Duffy Equipment Co.; Genesis Steel Corp.; Hindman Family Cos.; Jefferson County Health Department; Dr. Frank Petrola; Rise and Shine Emmaus Gals; Dr. Michael Scarpone; and the Trinity West E.C.H.O. Fund.

We would also like to thank the JCFSHC Young Ambassadors for their hard work. These are a dedicated group of students from area high schools who raise funds for the health center for the annual gala. Through this program, our Young Ambassadors learn the importance of philanthropy and gain valuable fundraising skills.

Again, thank you for your generosity to help those in need. We are looking toward a future of continued growth and expansion to meet additional areas of medical, mental health and dental care. It is our hope that you will continue to support the efforts of the Jefferson County Fourth Street Health Center.
