Questions about Beatty Park

To the editor:

During a recent stop at Beatty Park, often called one of the most beautiful spots in the city, maybe the only one nowadays, I couldn’t help but notice that near the entrance, a large tree had fallen, obviously from the recent spate of storms to hit the area.

Noting that there have been cuts in the recreation department, I would think that possibly the maintenance and repair department might be employed to remove the tree and also mow some grass at the playground.

As a youngster living in a neighborhood adjacent to the park, my friends and I would enjoy countless hours playing there. If this matter has been addressed before this letter is printed, I will say thank you now.
