Senior center thankful for ride support

To the Editor,

The intent of this letter is to convey to t he many caring people and business concerns in Weirton and neighboring communities, our sincere gratitude for their tremendous support of the 2013 Motorcycle Ride of the Greater Weirton Senior Citizens Center. We are a non-county senior center, so our funding for operations depends on our fundraising events and the support from our community.

We praise the bikers for their participation!

In addition to the many individuals and business concerns that donated either money or merchandise, or both, our senior center also extends sincere appreciation to The Weirton Daily Times for exceptional event coverage, enhancing our success.

A special thanks to the following financial donors: Assure America, Better Hearing, Teresa Ewasky, Weirton Lumber, Weirton Rental, Mr. and Mrs. Banketas, Hancock County Savings Bank.

Wyngate donated the BBQ pulled pork and potato salad and all the Weirton Senior Center volunteers made the desserts. Mary Lou Bickerstaff printed our tickets. Norma Gosney, Betty Bake, Hazel Powell, Lil Ruszkowski, Ellen Garies provided Chinese auction baskets. Hank Vincent and the Stonestreet Station provided our entertainment.
