Thanks for help with Suppa dinner

To the editor:

Grace Lutheran Church in Steubenville would like to express its thanks to all who attended the benefit spaghetti dinner for the Vito Suppa liver transplant fund. We are grateful to all who bought meals, those who participated in the silent auction and the many who supplied the auction items.

We thank those who helped in the kitchen and prepared the meal, and those who volunteered time and donated food. We thank the Herald-Star for the publicity we received. We especially thank the Teramana brothers and TEAM Ford for purchasing all the food the was prepared and gave us much support. Many helped behind the scenes, and we are thankful. Thrivent Financial for Lutheran is donating $1 for each $3 earned, and that will help us reach our goal.

Our next project will be an English tea party at 1 p.m. Oct. 12 in the church parish hall. Those attending are encouraged to bring their favorite tea cup and wear a fancy hat.

Decadent cookies will be served and Gold Canyon candles will be offered for sale. The public is invited to attend.

This community is noted for being generous to those in need, and it’s true. We ask that you continue your support and prayers for Vito and others in need.
