Looking for the tribulation

To the editor:

What is the purpose of the tribulation? God has a three-fold purpose for this period.

The first is to allow many Jews who will enter the millennium to experience the fulfillment of the kingdom promises to Israel made by God in the covenants.

The second is to save a multitude of Gentiles who will then populate the millennia kingdom.

The third is to pour out judgment on unbelieving mankind and nations.

The final 42-month, or three-and-a-half year period is so terrifying that it is called the Great Tribulation (Revelation 1:14.) A peace program will be presented to Israel and the nations. This will not be kept and the bloodiest battles in world history will occur: desire, dedication and discipline, all three Ds we need in these end times; “Be ye ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the son of man cometh (Matthew 24:44.)

The tribulation period will end with the Battle of Armageddon and the return of Lord Jesus Christ to Earth (Revelation, 19:11-16).

Now what’s next? The millennium.
