Charity Hospice thanks volunteers

To the editor:

Charity Hospice would like to thank all of past and present volunteers. Being a volunteer is truly a selfless act of kindness. As a Charity Hospice volunteer, it takes a higher level of compassion and understanding to work with patients and families during their end-of-life journey. Our volunteers are a valuable part of our team. Volunteers have the opportunity to provide services in various capacities, from home visits and fundraising to administrative support.

Charity Hospice has been fortunate to work with various community groups, churches and youth organizations in our community. If not for the work of these groups and the men and women who have and continue to provide services to patients and families, we would not be able to provide the services that we do to our community.

To honor our volunteers, Charity Hospice will be holding a luncheon at the Gaslite Restaurant in Wintersville.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Charity Hospice volunteer, call me at (740) 26t4-2280.
