Renforth deserves to be elected

To the editor:

I would like to introduce you all to my husband Scott M. Renforth who is running for Jefferson County auditor in the May 6 primary election.

I am so proud and so very lucky to get to share my life with him. Many of you know my husband and can attest to the things I am about to say, but for those who don’t, you are definitely missing out. He is the kind of person who never holds back whether in love, fatherhood, friendship or protecting others. He is full of hope, courage, passion and all the important qualities that make us human. Scott is well-educated and is perfectly qualified and absolutely deserving of every Jefferson County residents’ vote. He has been a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy for 15 years, and for the last 12 years he has been stationed within the Edison Local School District as the resource officer. He has enjoyed getting to know your children and grandchildren, protecting them and even helping some of them through their toughest times on occasion. He has been an amazing role model not only for your children and grandchildren, but for our own daughter, Devin, who has grown into a beautiful, intelligent, and independent young woman and makes us so proud.

He is an alumni of the Franciscan of Steubenville and has an undergraduate degree in legal studies and will complete his master’s degree in business administration, concentrating in accounting this December. He has worked hard to achieve this level of education and professionalism, but still desires to continue serving the citizens of his home while utilizing the education and training he has worked so hard to accomplish.

Education, professionalism, honesty and integrity are of the utmost importance to my husband. Not only has he worked extremely hard to put himself through school, but he inspired me to continue my education and to seize every opportunity. I am graduating on May 10 with a bachelor’s of science from Franciscan University of Steubenville and will pursue a master’s in prosthetics and orthotics. Without his inspiration, sacrifice and never-wavering belief in me, I would not be where I am today.

When I look at my husband and see who he is and look in the mirror at the person he has helped me to become, I cannot even express how proud I am.

My husband is the perfect person to fill the all important position of Jefferson County auditor. He will never let the citizens of this county down. He is more than deserving of your votes. Jefferson County would be lucky to have him as part of local government. Please think of him and of my words on May 6 as you cast your vote. This county will never find a better man for auditor. Thank you for your time and consideration from the bottom of my heart.
