From the Pulpit: Arise city of Weirton

Arise City of Weirton, and cities of the Ohio Valley. Arise to your destiny as sons and daughters of the Living God.

Arise from hopelessness! Arise from poverty! Arise from drug addiction! Arise from gambling addictions! Arise from alcoholism! Arise from sexual immorality. Step into your destiny!

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the plans I have for you says, the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.”

Teenagers, young adults, and young adults with families. Don’t despair!

Throw off your fears! 2 Timothy 1:7, says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a Spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.” Hebrews 12:2, says, “Let go of the sin that so easily knocks you off course. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.” Romans 15:13, says, “May the God of Hope fill you with joy and peace, as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Embrace the hope that we have in the Living God, the Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The bible says, in James 1:15, “When sin is full grown it gives birth to death.” God is calling you out of the sewage of sin, out of the brokenness that life outside of God’s love manifests.

Divorce has left you and your children broken. Drug addictions, alcohol and gambling addictions have left you broke and in need. Even wealth and success is not enough to fill the void in your life. If multiple sex partners has left your heart fragmented and tormented. Stop!

Simply say this prayer, and God will give you a new start in life. God, I’m so tired of running in circles. I’m tired of this death spiral. Nothing seems to give me peace. If you’re real, come into my life right now. Forgive my sins. Give me your Holy Spirit, and make me your child. Help me to find a life-giving church to help me to know you better. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:17 from the bible says, “Anyone who is in Christ Jesus is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.” That word new, in the Greek language is Kheeanos, it means, “unused, unworn, fresh, new, uncommon, unheard of; unprecedented.”

If you just prayed that prayer I believe something amazing and new happened in your spirit. Now you have to read your bible and pray on a regular basis, and find a bible believing, bible preaching church to help you.

My wife Kim and I read a national poll done in 2013, that said West Virginia is the most depressed state in America. We want to do something about that. God told us to pray blessings over the city of Weirton, and every city in West Virginia. We have prayed for many in Weirton and I pray for you right now. Father in the name of your son, Jesus, I pray your blessings over each person who reads this article. Bless each one with the fullness of your Salvation. I pray that their eyes be opened to see all that you have planned for them. Bless marriages! Bless families! Bless them with health and life and strength. I pray for healing from cancer, and diabetes, from high blood pressure and skin diseases of every kind. Restore physical vision and hearing problems. Heal every manner of mental illness in Jesus’ name. Touch and heal bone disorders and diseases, arthritis and scoliosis. I come against Leukemia in Jesus’ name. Bless each one who reads this with wisdom and understanding, and give them great success in life. Teach each one of us your ways, and give us ears to hear what your Spirit is saying. Bless pastors and priests and spiritual leaders. Bless leaders of finance and industry in this city and this valley. Bless doctors and lawyers, and nurses. Bless our police and fire personnel. Bless city, county, and state leaders with wisdom and integrity. Raise up righteous leader in education and manufacturing. Bless small businesses and give them favor in this community. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

In Ezekiel 37: from the bible, is an account where the Lord speaks to Ezekiel. The Spirit of God lifts Ezekiel up in a vision and shows him a valley filled with very dry bones. God asks him a question, “Son of man, can these bones live?” Ezekiel said, “You alone know, O’ Lord.” God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, so he did.

Today I hear the Lord saying the same to me as He did to Ezekiel about Israel. So, I prophesy to the north, to the south, to the east and to the west all over the Ohio Valley, and I say, “Dry bones, men, women and children in the Ohio Valley who have no hope, who have given up, who are broken because of sin, or bad choice or addictions, or who are running from God, Hear the Word of the Lord – Rise up in Jesus’ name! Come out of spiritual death into spiritual life. I prophesy to the Spirit of God to come from every direction and fill them with life in Jesus’ name. Arise to your destiny, as children of the Living God, City of Weirton and people of the Ohio Valley.

Find a life-giving church and it will change your life.
